2020 healthy tips.

Tip de salud 2020.

It’s been one of the most difficult years for many reasons, but the coronavirus pandemic, especially, has created some very unique challenges. For many of us, it’s already difficult to remember everything we should do to take care of ourselves, and now we have the added COVID-19 layer to worry about.

So, in order to make it easier on everyone, to dispel some of these concerns, we’ve put together some key points to overcome challenges and protect your health during the rest of this year.

Washing your hands

● Do so often (whether you’re at home or in a public place) with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Lots of people have taken to singing a bit of their favorite song to themselves to make sure they’re complying with the CDC’s recommendation of the 20-second handwash.

● If you’re going out, be sure you take hand sanitizer with you (don’t leave it in the car!), in case you don’t have access to soap and water. Choose one that contains at least 60% alcohol, as per the CDC’s guidelines. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.

● It’s especially important to wash:

o Before eating or preparing food

o Before touching your face

o After using the restroom

o After leaving a public place

o After blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing

o After handling your mask

o After changing a diaper

o After caring for someone sick

o After touching animals or pets

● If you absolutely can’t wash your hands until you get home, DON’T TOUCH YOUR FACE!

Getting around

● Take the time to make sure you have these items before you leave the house.

● Wear a mask at all times! Especially if you’re somewhere social distancing is just not

possible. Remember, however, that the mask isn’t a substitute for social distancing.

Both safety measures should be taken at the same time. The mask is meant to protect other people in case you’re infected.

● While you’re out, keep 6 feet of distance between yourself and people you don’t live with.

● Remember that even people who aren’t showing symptoms can spread the virus.

Keeping distance from others is also as much about keeping yourself safe as it about making sure you aren’t potentially putting others at risk. This is especially important around people who are at higher risk of getting very sick (older adults and people of any

age with underlying conditions).

● Masks should not be placed on young children under age 2, anyone who has trouble

breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated, or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance.

Habits at home (include work from home sluggishness/working out)

● If anyone’s sick at home, keep 6 feet away from them, even if it’s your mom, dad, brother, sister, wife, husband, etc. It’s easy to think that family members are safe to be around just because they’re family, but this just isn’t true.

● Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces/items daily. This includes tables, chairs, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, desks, phones, phone chargers, keyboards, toilets, faucets, and sinks. One overlooked area that should also be sanitized is the refrigerator door handle. If yours doesn’t have one, be sure to sanitize the area that people in your house use to open it. Following these guidelines should, at the very least, help put your mind at ease, as the CDC is

the absolute authority on disease control. In addition, you can boost your immune system with the powerful effervescent Redoxon tablets, made with vitamin C and zinc for maximum

protection.
